Frontline Tour

Tour Over Three Days (One full day and two half days) -

Cost Includes your Vehicle, Driver and One Passenger

Our Frontline Tour starts in Ypres. After exploring the area around Ypres, visiting sites

and locations unique to this tour, with a special stop or two along the way, we’ll arrive

back in Ypres and check in to our hotel for the night - the 4 star Ariane Hotel.

In the evening there will be time to wander around Ypres before a short walk to attend the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate. Afterwards, we’ll have a group meal in a very nice restaurant adjacent to the square - a great opportunity to relax and meet your fellow travellers. This is of course optional - allow approx €35pp plus drinks. On the second day, we’ll head South towards Arras, again stopping at some special places along the way. On arrival in Arras, we will check you in to your hotel, the Ibis, which is a one minute walk to the famous Grand Place. You can wander around the square at your leisure and take in some of the various entertainments on offer. On Sunday morning, after a healthy breakfast, we continue the tour. Whilst we’ll drive through the Battlefield areas of the Somme and Arras, covered in depth on other tours, this tour will take a very different route... along with the usual expert commentary via CB radio. The tour will end at approximately 3pm, on the outskirts of Albert Please note there are very few driveable ‘green lanes’ in Belgium, so the off-road sections will be minimal on the first day.

Over three days we will give you an insight from a different perspective of this famous

battlefield, travelling in a small convoy of 5-6 vehicles, on tracks once trod by infantry.

You’ll receive CB commentary as we drive along our route so you can really get a

sense of where troops came from and what their objectives were.

A Unique tour covering Ypres,

sites not on any of our other tours

and you will have the opportunity

to experience some very special

locations, not open to the general

public. One night will be spent in

the IBIS Styles hotel, a short walk

to the centre of Arras. The other

night will be spent in the 4-star

Ariane hotel in Ypres where we will

take in the Last Post ceremony at

the Menin Gate.

In addition to our normal tours, this special

tour will include:

Two night’s accommodation in a twin bedded

room on a bed and breakfast basis - one night

in the 4-star Ariane Hotel in Ypres and the

other night in the Ibis Styles hotel in Arras.

An optional three course meal with wine on the

first evening. Allow around €35pp.

Wander arounf Ypres and Arras - eat and shop

and take in some sights.
