The Current Situation

There are currently no COVID restrictions and tours are operating as normal.

UPDATED 01st MARCH 2022

Now leisure travel has been reinstated, we have several tours planned. We are monitoring the situation and if anything changes, we will react accordingly. Any bookings are fully transferable/refundable should advice change regarding international travel or we feel it is not safe to proceed. Should this happen, you can choose to: • Move to the same tour next year. • Move to a different tour in 2023 • Receive a full refund. If you test positive for Covid-19 shortly before your tour, or you have been told to self-isolate, we will be happy to move your booking to another tour or date upon receipt of proof. There is no charge for this, unless you decide to move to a more expensive tour.

What do I have to do to enter France and return home?

If you book a tour with us, it is your responsibility to ensure all current requirements are met before travelling. Please check the Government website for up to date information: https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/france/entry-requirements It is also very important that you have travel insurance and all the relevant documents for both health and driving. A handy checklist is here: https://www.gov.uk/travel-abroad and for motoring abroad here: https://www.gov.uk/drive-abroad Battlefields Group Ltd can take no responsibility if you have not followed the guidance at the time of your tour and are refused entry, so please ensure you are fully aware of the requirements and act accordingly.

Now tours have resumed, how safe will they be?

Our tours are inherently safer than coach or other group tours as you will be in your own vehicle with your own family the whole time. We do have several stops at memorials and cemeteries, but social distancing (as per guidelines at the time of the tour) will be adhered to at all times. Your journey to France will be your own responsibility. Both Eurotunnel and Ferry companies have their own policies and guidelines in place making them as safe as possible. Hotels for your tour will only be chosen provided they have their own policies and guidelines, making your stay as safe as possible.
