Frontline Tour

Generally delivered over Three Days but can be extended to

four or five

Our Frontline Tour starts in Ypres. After exploring the area around Ypres, visiting sites

and locations unique to this tour, with a special stop or two along the way, we’ll arrive

back in Ypres and check in to our hotel for the night - the 4 star Ariane Hotel.

In the evening there will be time to wander around Ypres before a short walk to attend the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate. Afterwards, we’ll have a group meal in a very nice restaurant adjacent to the square - a great opportunity to relax and meet your fellow travellers. This is of course optional - allow approx €35pp plus drinks. On the second day, we’ll head South towards Arras, again stopping at some special places along the way. On arrival in Arras, we will check you in to your hotel, the Ibis, which is a one minute walk to the famous Grand Place. You can wander around the square at your leisure and take in some of the various entertainments on offer. On Sunday morning, after a healthy breakfast, we continue the tour. Whilst we’ll drive through the Battlefield areas of the Somme and Arras, covered in depth on other tours, this tour will take a very different route... along with the usual expert commentary via CB radio. The tour will end at approximately 3pm, on the outskirts of Albert Please note there are very few driveable ‘green lanes’ in Belgium, so the off-road sections will be minimal on the first day.

Over three days we will give you an insight from a different perspective of this famous

battlefield, travelling in a small convoy of 5-6 vehicles, on tracks once trod by infantry.

You’ll receive CB commentary as we drive along our route so you can really get a

sense of where troops came from and what their objectives were.

sites not on any of our other tours

and you will have the opportunity

to experience some very special

locations, not open to the general

public.

Accommodation can be adapted to

are camping, budget hotels right

up to four star hotels.

Accommodation will be split

between Ypres and Arras with the

option for a stay in Albert in the

Somme too.
